Among the Autobots serving under Optimus Prime, none are as brilliant, eccentric, and innovative as Wheeljack.
Known as the Autobots’ chief engineer and inventor, Wheeljack is responsible for designing many experimental technologies used by the Autobot forces in their battle against the Decepticons.
In the original Transformers Generation 1 animated series produced by Hasbro and Takara, he transforms into a Lancia Stratos Turbo rally car, reflecting both his speed and engineering precision. His robot mode features his iconic ear-like antennae and faceplate, along with his distinctive shoulder missile launchers.
Known for his adventurous scientific mind. While his inventions often give the Autobots a technological advantage, they sometimes come with unpredictable results.
Nevertheless, Optimus Prime trusts Wheeljack’s ingenuity and relies on him whenever the Autobots need new equipment or experimental solutions.
Among his most famous achievements occurred in Season 1, Episode 7 – SOS Dinobots. In that episode, he proposed creating powerful new Autobot warriors capable of countering the Decepticons’ strength. Working alongside Ratchet, Wheeljack built the very first Autobot subgroup - the legendary Dinobots.
