Kranix is remembered as the tragic last survivor of the peaceful planet Lithone, a world consumed by the planet-eating terror of Unicron at the beginning of Transformers The Movie. 

Captured by the cruel Quintessons, he becomes a fellow prisoner to Autobots Hot Rod and Kup on Quintessa, where his fragmented account of Lithone’s destruction serves as one of the first warnings of Unicron’s unstoppable power. 

Mentally shaken and physically powerless, Kranix embodies the civilian cost of the Transformers’ cosmic conflict as his fate sealed when he is cast into the pit and devoured by the savage Sharkticons, making him one of the film’s most haunting symbols of helplessness in the face of galactic destruction.
